Originally part of a stables block, Stables Cottage is positioned on the gable end of the 19th Century courtyard. Upstairs, there’s a King-size master bedroom and double bedroom along with a family bathroom with shower. Together with the spacious lounge and kitchen downstairs, you’ll find Beech Cottage a relaxing, luxury retreat for your family.
The walls of this cottage are two-feet thick, and have been keeping the Scottish weather at bay for more than 200 years! Originally part of a stables block, the original occupants of Beech Cottage would have been the prized horses of Major Colin Mackenzie of Mountgerald! With Highland Cattle grazing in the adjacent field from April through October, you’ll soon see these cheeky cows enjoy having their photo taken!
You’re sure to enjoy relaxing in Stables Cottage with its spacious lounge. Equipped with two leather sofas, a 42-inch flat-screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player, you’ll have everything you need. Like all our cottages, Stables Cottage has complimentary, fast Wi-Fi internet connection.
The kitchen-diner is fully equipped for meal preparation, with an electric hob and fan oven with grill, as well as a microwave oven. Tain Pottery have provided all our hand-made traditional local crockery. There is also a coffee-maker, a fridge-freezer, and a dishwasher.
Luxurious underfloor heating is powered by our central biomass boiler and its electricity is supplemented by solar panels. Like all our cottages, Stables Cottage has a washing machine, so you can do laundry if you wish during your stay. Perfect for guests who enjoy an active outdoor holiday!
